Everything you need to know to prepare for your stay at Bright Mission Recovery
Essential Items to Pack
We recommend bringing the following items for a comfortable stay
Clothing
- • 7-10 days of comfortable, casual clothing
- • Pajamas or sleepwear
- • Underwear and socks
- • Sweater or jacket (it can get cool)
- • Comfortable walking shoes
- • Flip flops or sandals for showers
- • Workout/yoga clothes
- • Swimsuit (if applicable)
Toiletries
- • Toothbrush and toothpaste
- • Shampoo and conditioner
- • Body wash or soap
- • Deodorant
- • Hairbrush or comb
- • Razor and shaving cream
- • Skincare products
- • Feminine hygiene products (if needed)
Note: All toiletries must be alcohol-free
Important Documents
- • Government-issued ID
- • Insurance card
- • List of current medications
- • Emergency contact information
- • Any relevant medical records
- • Court documents (if applicable)
Personal Items
- • Journal or notebook
- • Books or reading materials
- • Photos of loved ones
- • Eyeglasses or contacts
- • Phone numbers of family/friends
- • Small amount of cash ($50-100)
Medications
- • All prescribed medications in original bottles
- • Vitamins or supplements
- • Prescription information
All medications will be reviewed and managed by our medical team
Optional Items
- • Musical instrument
- • Art supplies
- • Spiritual or religious items
- • Comfort items (pillow, blanket)
- • Stamps and stationery
Items NOT Permitted
For the safety of all clients, the following items are prohibited
Drugs & Alcohol
Any controlled substances, alcohol, or drug paraphernalia
Weapons
Knives, firearms, or any items that could be used as weapons
Electronics
Cell phones, laptops, tablets (with some exceptions)
Alcohol-Based Products
Mouthwash, hand sanitizer, or products containing alcohol
Valuables
Expensive jewelry, large amounts of cash
Revealing Clothing
Clothing with drug/alcohol references or inappropriate messages
Good to Know
Laundry Services
We provide laundry facilities for your use during treatment. Laundry detergent is provided. Please label your clothing with your initials.
Phone Policy
Personal cell phones are typically not permitted during the initial phase of treatment. We have scheduled phone times for family calls. Our team will explain the phone policy upon admission.
Mail & Packages
You may receive mail and approved packages during your stay. All packages are inspected for prohibited items. Family can mail letters and cards to support your recovery.
